Zoe Simone is a screenwriter-director from Houston, Texas. She received her BFA and MFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Her feature screenplay HAVANA received an Honorable Mention from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, and was an official selection of both the Sloan Film Summit and the Athena Writers Lab. Zoe is also a recipient of the Venable Herndon Award for Excellence in Screenwriting. Her first short film, THE FOURTH FRIEND, was an Official Selection at FEST - New Directors New Films, and is now available to watch on Film Shortage. Her latest short film, AT NIGHT, premiered at the Academy Award-Qualifying Urbanworld Film Festival, and is now available to watch on Vimeo and YouTube. Zoe’s next short film, COYOTES, is in post-production. She is currently developing her debut feature for 2026 through her production company WALLFACER. Zoe is based in Brooklyn and is represented by Jake Weiner at Harvest Hill Entertainment.
